Ross’s main area of work is advising and assisting small to medium size businesses. He has a strong understanding of the New Zealand tax law and compliance requirements and has a large agricultural and rural based clientele but also maintains a large number of commercial clients.

Ross enjoys playing golf at one of the many golf courses around the district and is also treasurer for his Rotary Club.

Ross and his team are able to assist in all areas of taxation and accountancy requirements, right through to setting up your own business.

Ross has a strong knowledge of business structures and operations, as well as tax law and business valuations.

Ross was born in Hawkes Bay and grew up on the family farm in the high country inland from Napier. He attended boarding school at Napier Boys High School and went on to study accountancy and marketing at Massey University, completing both a Bachelor of Business Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in accountancy.

After leaving University, Ross worked with an accountancy practice in Hawkes Bay for several years before joining the corporate world and working with several large and medium sized companies throughout New Zealand. In 1998, Ross established his own chartered accountancy practice in Nelson and built a strong reputation for business advisory, accounting and taxation services.

In 2009, Ross and his team joined forces with Carran Miller Ltd and formed the Carran Miller Strawbridge Ltd team and continue to provide their clients high quality professional services.
